In my free time I do many things; most of which I find interesting. Here are only a few...

My Bass Guitar

A metallic black Cruise bass guitar and a Peavey Rage 108 Amp. I can often be seen on the web cam playing along with CDs or learning tablature on the Internet. I find it to be a good stress reliever after a tiring day. I'm not in a band, nor do I have much interest to be in one; I just play for personal reasons.

Mountain Biking

A shockless Ross "Mt. Hood" first-generation mountain bike that I take into the Altadena foothills to tame the mountains. There are many mountain roads and winding dirt trails all over the Foothills of Southern California.

Hiking

I always enjoy exploring the outback with a friend. No matter if its a hike on a familiar well-known trail or purposefully getting lost for the sake of finding a place unknown to most, being in the outdoors is a good waste of an entire afternoon. Using my snazzy eTREX Venture portable GPS, I have been turning my biking and hiking trips into data collection excursions. While living in Altadena, California, I was able to map all of the trails north of the city. I posted all of my data in the "Trails" section of the site. Keep in mind this was all completed before Google Maps.

Bowling

As Homer Simpson once said, "If horse racing is the sport of kings, then surely, bowling is a... very good sport as well..." Either because I don't care that bowling isn't the "in" thing to do, or because I enjoy doing what's not "in" is the reason that I often wish I were bowling. I purchased a rare Ebonite Pin Ball off EBay, which I had a lot of fun with for a while. I haven't had much time to bowl lately but I'm not about to sell Pinny!

Anti-Fashion Fashion

No matter how hard I close my eyes when I am picking up what to wear in the morning, for some reason, I have never been told I don't match. I think of this ability more as a daily fluke, but others say it's because I know what to shop for. How could I go wrong wearing black shoes, blue pants, and a tee?

Shockwave Football

Whenever I got the chance, I enjoyed racking up a few new high scores while playing Shockwave Two Minute Football. My scores were often in first place and occasionally run first through tenth. I had perfected my strategy to such an extent that I was able to score 189 points in the 120 seconds given (that's equal to a touchdown every 4.44 seconds!) Shockwave.com released a 3D version of the game and removed the 2D version. The 3D version just isn't as fun.

Small Ball League

I used to manage a "Small Ball" baseball team by the name of the "mrwadlo.com's". I started the team in April of 2002 and hoped that one day, they would be the best team online. I let a friend take over training them and they fell from the high ranks (thanks a lot Josh!). At their peak, they were ranked well in the 4th league. Click here to view my fallen stats. And for those interested, here is my official hit list.

Unreal Tournament

I don't own any of the new consoles, but when it comes down to FPS I'm game. I believe the best is Unreal Tournament 2004 because the gameplay works so well and the weapons are well balanced. There used to be Arcades in Pasadena that had fast networks and UT2k4 installed, but they have all shut down to make way for boutiques and "Going Out of Business" furniture stores. I bought UT2k4 in mid 2004 wanting to become better at it, and ended up beginning mapping in December of the same year. I decided to take on a long term, large scale project and have been working on it ever since. UT2k7 is planned to be available in March, 2007, and much of the mapping community is going to be converting, however I plan to continue my current project in UT2k4.
